Our History

Leslie Hercules, founder of Chaska Music Studios, opened the studio in 1995 after several years of teaching independently. With a full schedule of 40 piano students, teaching out of her home, and getting several calls a day inquiring about lessons, Leslie's dream of owning her own studio was just beginning. She hired two teachers and began renting space in churches for lessons. Over two decades later, Chaska Music Studios operates with 16 professional music instructors, a spacious building unit with 11 studio rooms and a waiting room, and 260+ students taking private music lessons on a weekly basis.

As the logo states, we truly believe that the gift of music is a gift for life. Thousands of students have walked the halls of the studio, and several have gone on to major or minor in music. Our instructors have diverse backgrounds in music styles and instruments. We offer private lessons in Piano, Voice, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Upright Bass, Ukulele, Violin, Viola, Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, English Horn, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Baritone and Tuba. Students of all ages and abilities are welcome.
