​Svetlana has been living and teaching in the United States since 2002. She graduated from Kiev State Conservatory in Ukraine with a Masters Degree in Teaching and Performing. She was a member of the State Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and currently plays with the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra.
 
Svetlana taught at Chaska Music Studios for four years before her second child was born. After taking some time off, she returned teaching at the studio in 2015. With over 10 years of teaching violin, viola and piano experience, Svetlana is very excited to be back teaching for Chaska Music Studios and looks forward to her teaching adventures with all of her students! She enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities, believing that every student needs a slightly different approach and method. 


In November 2015, Svetlana and the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra performed a flash mob of Beethoven's Ode to Joy ​at the ​IDS Crystal Court in downtown Minneapolis.
