Karen has been teaching Piano and Voice at Chaska Music Studios for six years now.  
Karen has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota. She is a classically trained singer and has performed with various Opera companies in the Twin Cities, but enjoys to listen to and sing many types of music. Along with private instruction, she also teaches group music at Step by Step Montessori.

During her free time, Karen enjoys walking, biking, yoga, reading, and travel. She loves spending time with her husband, Jim, and their twin daughters and two cats.
